Good morning, everyone,
I’ve been praying and struggling with fear about posting this, but today I’ve decided to step out in faith and officially launch my home care business. As many of you know, my mom, June Garlin, always put others first. She spent her life caring for those in need, and now, I’m starting this business in honor of her.
My mom dedicated over 25 years to medical foster care, offering love and extra TLC to those who needed it most. She was truly selfless in every way. When my mom passed away on June 25th, 2018, it felt like my world ended. I often tell people how her passing shook me to my core.
I’ll never forget walking into the Cape Coral hospital, thinking I was just going to check on my mom after she was admitted for a blood clot in her leg. As I was talking to someone, no nurses stopped me, and when I pulled back the curtain, I saw that my mom was gone. I turned to my Aunt Patty Keller and said, “What happened?” And she gently replied, “I think you know what happened.” In that moment, my whole world came crashing down. All I could do was scream and cry, “It’s not fair. Not my mom. It’s not fair.”
After that day, my life spiraled. I did whatever I could to numb the pain I was feeling. I’m not saying this to encourage anyone to follow that path, but I want to share this because God was there through it all. He cried with me, He was with me in every hurt, in every tear.
The message I want to share with you today is to never let your past define your future. I am a beloved daughter of the Most High, and I, Brittany Elizabeth Garlin, am now following my dreams. I’m offering my services to those who need a little extra TLC, whether that’s light housekeeping, help with daily activities (like bathing, dressing, and running errands), transportation to doctor’s appointments, meal prep, or whatever else is needed.
